Our client seeks a candidate who can grow into a Lead Accounting role. Initially the role will be responsible for process financial information – Billing, P&L, etc.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for the Accounting Specialist
- Maintains company financial records
- Checks figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
- Classifies, records, and summarizes numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using computer entry.
- Debits, credits, and total accounts
- Receives, records, and banks cash, checks, and vouchers
- Complies with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
- Compiles statistical, financial, and accounting or auditing reports and tables of cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable and profits and losses.
- Reconciles or notes and reports discrepancies found in records
Education/Experience
Requirements for the Accounting Specialist
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Equivalent Degree
- Minimum 2 – 3 years equivalent office / accounting experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, and time management a must
- Strong ability to multi-task, work independently, and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Customer service orientation
- Experience with MS Office Suite, Outlook, QuickBooks Enterprise
