BH Solutions Group is an Executive Recruiting and Consulting firm located in Akron, OH.
Currently seeking an Application Developer who will develop custom applications in a retail and eCommerce environment. Tasks will include web development, database development, systems integration and other tasks as the business needs. The ability to multi-task and be self-motivated to drive projects home to completion is essential.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for the Applications Developer
- Understand requirements and translate in application features
- Collaborate with a IT team to set specifications for new applications
- Write high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines
- Perform unit and integration testing before launch
- Conduct functional and non-functional testing
- Troubleshoot and debug applications
- Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features
Education/Experience
Requirements for the Application Developer
- Bachelor Degree or applicable work experience in programming
- Minimum 3 years of development experience minimum; retail eCommerce preferred
- Experience with Azure or similar type of environment – i.e. AWS
- Website Development experience with the following:
- C# and .Net Experience
- CSS3 and Javascript ES6+
- User Interface Design and MVC concepts
- SQL Server and MySQL Development Experience
- Familiar with multiple data formats and protocols: XML, CSV, JSON, HTTP/S, FTP, SFTP, SMTP
- Experience with APIs and Web Service Technologies: SOAP, REST
- Ability to:
- Read, analyze and interpret general business information.
- Write reports, business correspondence.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percentages.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
