We have been retained by a leading residential and commercial lighting and electrical services company to assist in their search for a licensed and experienced Master Electrician to help lead and elevate our electrical service operations.
The Master Electrician will oversee electrical work performed by our team of electricians and apprentices, ensure compliance with local and national codes, and perform advanced diagnostics, installations, and repairs. This role combines hands-on expertise with leadership and quality assurance, playing a key role in maintaining our reputation for top-tier service.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for the Master Electrician
- Supervise, mentor, and train journeyman electricians and apprentices.
- Perform and oversee electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in residential and light commercial settings.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code), local building codes, and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Manage permitting and inspections, coordinating with local authorities as needed.
- Review job estimates, provide input on scope, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.
- Serve as the on-site electrical expert for challenging or high-profile projects.
- Represent the company professionally in customer interactions and while on-site.
Education/Experience
Requirements for the Master Electrician
- Current Master Electrician License in Texas.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential and/or commercial electrical service work.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using mobile apps for scheduling, estimates, and documentation.
