We have been retained by a Cleveland-based facilities management company to assist in their search for a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for seeking new customers. The Business Development Manager should be good at development, troubleshooting, and closing a sale. Ideal candidate should be able to anticipate customer needs and make suggestions to enhance current or future locations.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for the Business Development Manager
- Research and identify potential clients for our landscaping and snow removal services.
- Call on prospective clients, seek out, and build relationships with key decision-makers in these organizations.
- Work with other team members to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs and concerns.
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to result in a positive outcome.
- Attend industry functions and stay abreast of market trends.
- Be prepared to educate potential clients on current landscaping trends and practices.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
Education/Experience
Requirements for the Business Development Manager
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience 3-5 years of business-to-business sales experience
- Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Suite and CRM systems
- Strong communication, written, and formal presentation skills
- Proficiency in closing the sale
- Self-motivated, proactive, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction
- Strong project management and customer relations skills
- A positive attitude and a knack for working in a cooperative team environment
- Must be extremely organized
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an outgoing personality
- Able to frequently local travel and must be able to offer flexibility with work hours outside of regular business hours to meet client needs. This position may require working from various locations or from home, as needed.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record to meet fleet insurance standards Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test

We are assisting a Cleveland-based manufacturing company with their search for a Senior IT Business Analyst who will work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. Understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. Interprets and transforms information based on business requirements and provides the data for delivery. Conducts detailed research of vendor products and assists with general project management.

Education/Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Bachelor degree in IT, Business or related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years IT and/or Business experience.
- 5+ years working with internal clients and/or external agencies/partners.
- Well versed in Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of various essential business functions of an organization.
- Strong technical knowledge coupled with business intelligence and ability to understand customer’s needs.
- Ability to facilitate process mapping activities and working knowledge of mapping techniques.
- Understanding of Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures.
- Familiarity with how legacy and web-based system interfaces with each other.
- eCommerce experience preferred.
- Experience with Agile methodologies a plus.
- Advanced analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Proven ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas, and technologies quickly.
- Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems.
