We are assisting a client in the Van Alstyne / Dallas area with their search for a Seasonal Warehouse Lead to support daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills and a proven background in warehouse management, logistics, and safety practices.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for the Season Warehouse Lead
- Support the Warehouse Manager in directing warehouse associates, ensuring all plans, procedures, and safety practices are followed.
- Coordinate with the production shift supervisor to maintain smooth communication and workflow between warehouse and production teams.
- Oversee shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, verifying load accuracy, and ensuring proper documentation is completed and delivered to customer service.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and bulk truck loaders.
- Sort, label, and store materials in designated inventory locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment for staff, sales personnel, and customers.
- Unpack bales, crates, and other containers as needed.
- Record and track material transfers using appropriate computer systems.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Perform general housekeeping and maintenance duties to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Education/Experience
Requirements for the Seasonal Warehouse Lead
- High school diploma or equivalent; mechanical aptitude a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of warehouse experience with progressive responsibilities.
- Forklift certification required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
