We have been retained to assist our client in their search for a Dispatch Coordinator with our client’s Electrical and Landscape Lighting team. The Coordinator will manage the flow of work from customer request to field execution, ensuring every job is scheduled, routed, and completed with precision. This role is critical as the client scales their call center function and expand service capacity across regions, serving as the operational backbone connecting customers, technicians, and leadership.
This role is best suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments and enjoys bringing structure to complexity. It offers the opportunity to build operational discipline at scale and develop expertise in workforce planning, scheduling, and customer experience within a rapidly growing service organization.
The role is responsible for day-to-day dispatch execution, prioritization, and coordination across electrical and lighting service calls. Success in this role will be defined by the ability to optimize technician utilization, maintain schedule integrity, and ensure a seamless customer experience.
This role partners closely with Customer Experience, Field Operations, Area Managers, and Technicians to ensure alignment between demand, capacity, and service delivery.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for the Dispatch Coordinator
- Manage real-time scheduling and routing of electrical and landscape lighting jobs, ensuring optimal technician utilization and schedule efficiency.
- Monitor job progress, proactively address delays, and reassign work to ensure on-time completion and customer satisfaction
- Serve as the central communication hub between the call center, field teams, and leadership to ensure alignment and clarity on daily operations.
- Ensure accurate appointment setting, clear communication, and follow-through on all service commitments.
- Identify inefficiencies in scheduling, routing, and communication workflows; recommend and implement improvements to increase scale and consistency.
- Provide support to call center associates by handling incoming calls to the contact center as needed.
Education/Experience
Requirements for the Dispatch Coordinator
- Experience in dispatch, scheduling, or workforce coordination in home services, electrical, HVAC, or similar industries
- Background in call center or customer operations environments with high inbound/outbound volume
- Familiarity with ServiceTitan, or other routing, scheduling, or field service management systems
- Experience coordinating across field technicians or remote teams
- Exposure to service-based businesses where timeliness and CX are critical
- Brings strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple schedules, priorities, and workflows with accuracy and consistency.
- Maintains clear, professional communication across customers, technicians, and internal teams, ensuring alignment and minimizing confusion.
- Builds trust with field teams and internal stakeholders, enabling smooth coordination and collaboration across functions.
- Demonstrates strong scheduling, routing, and capacity planning skills to optimize daily operations and technician productivity.
- Operates with urgency and accountability, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and deadlines are consistently met.
